Q-Pulse gives The London Clinic a healthier dose of Quality Control

As the largest independently owned non-profit hospital in the UK, The London Clinic recognised that their paper-based data management system needed to be replaced.

Within their new state-of-the-art Pathology Department, keeping track of documentation – what documents needed to be reviewed and who had acknowledged them – was becoming increasingly difficult. As a result, the hospital did not have a holistic view of their Quality Management System (QMS). The London Clinic turned to Q-Pulse, the compliance management solution, developed by Gael Ltd, to help them manage their
data and document control, ensuring compliance within the regulatory requirements of the CPA, HTA, MHRA and JACIE.

Based in the heart of London’s medical community, The London Clinic offers patients routine medical and surgical care, as well as more complex procedures such as liver transplants, stem cell transplants and robotic assisted surgery.

Beverley added: “Q-Pulse has been a great success within The London Clinic and is very robust and user friendly.

“The system enables us to review and amend documents electronically, in a timely manner. Q-Pulse alerts us to documents which are due for review, and we can easily track documents, simply identifying which ones require reviewing and by whom; giving us a holistic view which was never previously available. We have also streamlined our Asset Management activities, meaning we can attach the service contracts, service records, user manuals, field safety notices and related SOP’s, which saves chasing all the relevant documentation for auditors.

“Q-Pulse has also allowed us to build a training and competence package for each member of staff according to their roles and responsibilities. Appropriate training courses and training sessions are attached to their records, and again Q-Pulse can be used to schedule these courses and training sessions, keeping records of who has attended and who needs to attend.”
