A “pioneer” in the flexible packaging industry in Kenya and much of the Eastern and Central African regions, General Printers Limited required an effective compliance management system (CMS) to help them successfully comply with standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, ISO 22000 and BRC - IoP.

The company – who built their reputation on developing the packaging for biscuits, pasta, pre-cooked foods and other food products - had been experiencing issues in the management of audits, documentation and corrective and preventive actions (CA/PA). In order to continue to be pioneers in the flexible packaging field, GPL needed an efficient and electronic CMS to achieve compliance to the relevant standards.

Q-Pulse, developed by Gael Ltd, was chosen as the most effective CMS for GPL following an effective consultation with Gael’s global partner, Intex Management Services.

As a company we are audited, both internally and externally, against each of these standards, so we required a centralised system to store all documentation and streamline our processes, so that documentation could be retrieved quickly and easily.
