Having used Q-Pulse Version 4 previously, we knew of its excellent capabilities and were pleased with the many benefits and functions it provided. But following the release of Version 5.7 we recognised it had the functionality we required to roll out Q-Pulse even further.

As users of Q-Pulse Version 4.2, staff at St George’s Healthcare NHS Trust were already experiencing the benefits of using the leading compliance management software throughout their Pathology Department. With one of the largest Pathology departments in the UK, the hospital had been successfully using Q-Pulse Business Edition to tackle their compliance issues and meet sector standards and regulations.
Across their Pathology Care Group - Q-Pulse was central to St George’s in achieving and maintaining their compliance requirements. However, after Q-Pulse developers Gael Ltd announced the release of Version 5.7, the London-based hospital realised an upgrade offered them much more functionality and benefits than the previous version.
St George’s took the decision to implement Version 5.7, a move which saw them enhance their compliance capabilities and provide them with the tools to roll out their Q-Pulse system further.
Angela Cooke, Cellular Pathology Quality Manager at St George’s, revealed: “Having used Q-Pulse Version 4 previously, we knew of its excellent capabilities and were pleased with the many benefits and functions it provided.
“But following the release of Version 5.7 we recognised it had the functionality we required to roll out Q-Pulse even further.
“We were already using the CAPA, Audit and Document modules under the previous structure.
“But with 5.7 it allowed us to easily and efficiently implement the Training and People modules and also means we can develop workflows to better manage our NCR resolution processes.”
St George’s Healthcare NHS Trust is one of the country’s largest teaching hospitals, treating more than 500,000 patients every year. The five specialities making up its Pathology Care Group carry out laboratory testing - examining bloods, cells and tissues from patients and playing an important role in diagnosing disease.
Since upgrading to Q-Pulse 5.7, St George’s has experienced a number of benefits from the new compliance software, such as improved deployment and configuration and a better audit interface.
Angela added: “Q-Pulse is a flexible software tool that efficiently helps us manage our compliance needs.
