Sharing knowledge and benchmarking are increasingly important in pathology quality management, and East Kilbride-based Gael Ltd. is helping pathology quality professionals to achieve best practice by sponsoring forums in England and Wales. Gael sponsored this year’s North West Regional Pathology Quality Management Forum, which was held at Wrightington Hospital on June 28, as well as this year’s South West Regional Pathology Quality Management Forum at Taunton Racecourse on July 5. Gael also presented on the new version of their management system software, which can help laboratories achieve best practice in pathology quality management. Q-Pulse Version 5.1, which offers improved tracking and maintenance for equipment, training and competences, helps pathology quality professionals to measure the effectiveness of their quality management system as well as to identify opportunities for continual improvement. ‘In pathology quality management, the quality manager’s role is increasingly important in achieving best practice, and events like the Forums, where quality managers can share knowledge and benchmark systems are vital,’ said Gregor McCall, Upgrade Manager. ‘More than 250 health care organisations in the UK and Ireland alone use Q-Pulse to manage their quality systems, and the Forums gave us the chance to meet with users from across England and Wales to hear how Q-Pulse is helping them to continually improve the quality and safety of services.’ For further information please contact: |
