A recent NHS report has firmly established Q-Pulse as the UK’s market-leading solution for laboratory accreditation management. Following the CPA’s introduction of new laboratory accreditation standards in 2003, laboratories are required to implement a Quality Management System (QMS) to declare a defined standard of practice and assure users of the high quality of services available. Written for the National Genetics Reference Laboratory at St Mary's Hospital in Manchester, the report, 'Software Systems for Quality Management', reviews QMS software solutions from a laboratory user’s perspective. The report has been distributed to both the UK Genetic Testing Network and the European Molecular Genetics Quality Network, as part of an NHS project to implement QMS that complies with international accreditation standards. Commenting on the report, Martin Bowman, Gael Quality Sales & Marketing Manager: ‘The report offers the reader an accurate and honest opinion on the practicalities, pains and quirks of running Q-Pulse in a real-world Pathology environment. This report can only help Pathology to embrace the true principles of Quality Management, as well as to recognise the supporting role that Q-Pulse can fulfil within an environment of continuous improvement.’ Martin added: ‘In addition, by providing Pathology-specific user groups, as well as our ongoing support of local Quality forums, we’ll continue to help Pathology Quality professionals move beyond compliance to a culture in which continuous improvement is readily embraced.’ For a copy of the report, visit the NGRL web site: For further information please contact: |
