HACCP – no choice any more!

The Society of Food Hygiene and Technology (SOFHT), in association with Gael Quality held ‘HACCP – no choice any more!’ on the 21st April at the James Watt Conference Centre in East Kilbride. With more than 60 Food Safety professionals from across the UK attending the event, speakers from leading companies shared their knowledge and experience of HACCP in a series of papers covering legislation, auditing and allergens.

From legislative requirements to the risk management of allergens, speakers from companies such as Greggs the Bakers and United Biscuits addressed some of the key aspects of HACCP, explaining how they developed their systems to manage Food Safety. In addition, we presented to attendees on how Q-Pulse can be used to gather and analyse Food Safety management system information.

Commenting on the event, Ian Stangoe, Gael Quality Business Development Executive:

‘We were delighted to be associated with this event, which was well-attended and which served to strengthen our relationship with the Society. In addition, our presentation was well-received by attendees, who recognised Q-Pulse as a comprehensive solution to demonstrating compliance on demand.

‘HACCP is the internationally recognised method for managing Food Safety, as well as a key component of standards such as EFSIS, BRC and AIB. With Q-Pulse, Food Safety professionals can maintain compliance with industry standards as well as satisfy customer demands for quality and safety.’
