On 14th April at Birmingham City Hospital, Gael Quality attended and supported 'Quality Standards and Beyond', a symposium examining the practical application of Quality Management principles in the clinical laboratory. Organised by Birmingham & Black Country Clinical Laboratory Quality Managers Group and attended by more than 140 Pathology Quality professionals from all over the UK, the event further strengthened Q-Pulse’s market-leading status in the UK pathology accreditation market. Presenters included CPA, HPA Colindale, NEQAS and Dr. David Burnett, the UK's foremost authority on laboratory accreditation management. Eric Martindale of North Glasgow University Hospitals presented to attendees on how Q-Pulse has helped enhance their compliance-based CPA management system to enable continuous improvement throughout the laboratories. Commenting on the event, Martin Bowman, Gael Quality Sales & Marketing Manager: ‘We were delighted to support the symposium, which emphasised the increased importance of Quality Management within the laboratory environment, and we were particularly pleased that two of the eight presenters were dedicated Q-Pulse users. In addition, with many users in attendance as well as on the event’s organising team, our support further enhanced our position as the UK’s market-leading solution for Pathology accreditation management.’ Martin added: ‘Q-Pulse is based on the tools and techniques of the entire Quality profession, not just Pathology. Events such as the symposium, combined with Gael’s industry-wide Quality Management knowledge and experience, help Pathology Quality professionals move beyond compliance to a culture in which continuous improvement is readily embraced.’ For further information please contact: |
