Understanding Needs
Our core strengths have always been being able to clearly understand the domains and markets in which we operate.
From the beginning we have developed solutions on the basis of an absolute understanding of the domain; we know what compliance demands of an organisation and the issues that result from them, and how those issues typically manifest themselves within an organisation.
Q-Pulse was developed to overcome the frustrations we faced with the increasing levels of bureaucracy associated with compliance management. We recognised that compliance was essential but chose to challenge the norms as to how it was being managed day-to-day.
The first prototype Q-Pulse solution in 1992 was designed to deliver against three key objectives:
- Give all employees a single point of reference for all compliance-related information
- Provide management reports to highlight compliance risk status in real time
- Automate routine low-value tasks that consume increasing time and resources using available technology
These three objectives remain current to this day, and while Q-Pulse has continually been developed over the years, our approach in understanding the needs of each customer has remained constant.
In engaging with customers we aim to get a detailed understanding and knowledge of their needs, working with relevant stakeholders to identify what currently works, what doesn’t and why not.
From there, we discuss what could be achieved and what barriers and obstacles could prove challenging, if not impossible. This allows a full assessment of options before consensus is agreed on the best way forward having considered constraints and available resources. Objectives are then set against an action plan with ownership defined action management through to successful conclusion.
This process enables our customers to overcome business challenges and introduce best practice. Our experience of working with more than 2500 organisations worldwide since 1992 provides us with great insight across many industries which we are able to introduce where appropriate.
