Accountable Manager

As the Accountable Manager, you have overall responsibility for ensuring that a Quality Management System (QMS) is implemented and maintained in line with the relevant requirements of your standard. It is also your legal responsibility to ensure that Corrective Actions are adequately resourced and that they have re-established compliance with the standard required by the Authority.

While there is no doubt that many aviation organisations perform the above to the best of their abilities, most regard the maintenance of their approvals as a mandatory requirement rather than an opportunity to improve their products and services.
