In maintaining and improving its means of monitoring compliance with European safety regulations, Dutch ACMI operator Denim Air selected Q-Pulse to help them improve the quality and efficiency of their Quality Assurance and Safety Reporting Programme.
Denim Air, based near to Amsterdam's Schiphol Airport, is a capacity provider to the regional airline market, specialising in ACMI wet lease operations. Its fleet of Fokker 50 and Dash 8 Q300 aeroplanes operate in Europe, Africa and Asia.
In managing their compliance with aviation regulations including EU-OPS 1, EASA Part-145 and Part M with Q-Pulse, Denim Air selected professional services, including implementation and training from the solution"s developers, Scottish software company Gael Ltd.
"When Denim Air decided to integrate its quality assurance and safety reporting activities into one department, we looked for a tool that would allow us to integrate the processes that staff and managers would have to use," explains Adrian Young, Manager Quality Assurance at Denim Air.
"Q-Pulse has allowed us to integrate these processes so that managers only have to access one system in order to handle the actions for which they"re responsible.
"Implementing Q-Pulse for auditing and safety reporting has resulted in a considerable decrease in administration, both for Quality and Safety staff, as well as for managers having to handle audit findings and safety reports.
"The messaging and escalation features in Q-Pulse mean that, once set up, Q-Pulse will automatically monitor the progress of actions and will handle the flow of information that was previously contained in memos and e-mails.
"Several man-months of work per year for Quality and Safety staff is thereby saved, leaving time to concentrate on the content of the findings and reports and not on their administration."
